1. The Parade Committee has final determination and acceptance of each participant unit as well as the overall objectives of the parade. If the unit misrepresents the accepted description of the unit, it may be removed. Groups that are removed for any reason may be barred from future participation.

2. Participant units shall not change assigned lineup position without approval of the Parade Committee. Failure to gain approval may result in possible removal from the parade and participation may be barred from future participation.

3. Elected Municipal, State, and Federal officials will be placed in the lineup on a first response/first position assigned basis. If the official's unit reorders lineup position assigned without permission, they may be remove from the parade and barred from future participation. Political parties are allowed on the same basis as the elected officials.

4. Units may start to line up at 8:30 am but must be in assigned lineup position no later than 9:00 am. ALL participants must sign a waiver form that will be provided with the instruction letter.

5. No fee will be paid to any participant unless there is prior written agreement and approval by the Parade Committee.

6. Each parade unit must provide their own banner or other identifying signage.

7. All animal units must provide a "clean-up" detail behind their units.

8. Common and good sense shall dictate the tone and the management of this family and community based parade. The Parade Committee shall have sole and final approval of all activities related to the Parade in controlled areas designated by and under the permit issued by the city of Ann Arbor.
