It is that time of the year again to start thinking
about one of our most important fund raising events of the year, GRAD STAFFING.
This fund raising event is a great opportunity for Jaycees to be active in the
community while also raising some much needed funds. The chapter receives money
for each Jaycee volunteering to help out with photographs during graduation at
University of Michigan. We will be working with Chappell Studios, an Iowa based
firm that has the contract with the University of Michigan to take photographs
of the graduating class. The cost ineffectiveness of flying out a full crew to
do this project brings out the need for local volunteers.
The project will occur Saturday April 26, 2008 at
approximately 7:00 am. Our main task is to assist Chappell Studios with the
overall organization of the project including lining up graduates, handing out
information cards, assisting in recording graduates names, and providing general
information to graduates as they enter the stadium where the ceremony will be
held. The location of this event has not yet been determined by the University
of Michigan.
At this point, we are looking for a chairperson who is
interested in leading this critical Jaycee event. Please contact Scott Zechiel
if you are interested in chairing this project or volunteering. Signup sheets
will also be available soon.
